Feeding with Respect

Feeding with respect includes watching your child’s cues about eating.  Just as you did with Breastfeeding-on-demand, meals do not need to be battles but should be a time for fun and exploration of foods, tastes, and textures.

We practice Baby-led weaning (BLW), or Baby-led Solids as it is called in the US.  What does this mean?  It means we did not feed our baby purees by spoon but let her self=feed from the start.  Here are some great resources on BLW:
